What we install
Access control lets the right people in without keys, using a fob, a card or a code. Impulse Electrical Enterprise installs and sets up access control systems in Sydney homes, strata buildings and businesses.
With a fob access system, residents or staff tap an RFID fob or tag to open a door or gate. If a fob is lost, it can usually be removed from the system so it no longer works.
Swipe card access suits offices and buildings where each person has their own card, so you can manage who has access as people come and go.
Keypad door entry opens a door or gate with a code, which suits homes, side gates and staff entries. Codes can be changed when you need to.
For electric door strike installation, we check the door and frame suit the lock first. On exit doors, people must be able to get out without a key, so we check what applies to each door, including how the lock behaves if the power fails or the fire alarm activates.
Who it's for
Keypad or fob entry for front doors, side gates and driveway gates, often paired with a video intercom so you can let visitors in.
Fob entry for building doors, car park gates and common areas, set up and managed with the strata or building manager.
Card or fob entry for staff, with people added and removed as your team changes.
Building fobs
Lost a fob, or need one for a new tenant or family member? We may be able to program extra or replacement fobs, including on systems someone else installed. Residents can contact us directly, and we check the strata or building manager has authorised the fob first. Access control fob programming depends on the system, so we can't promise every fob can be added. These are building fobs, not car keys.
What we check first (bullets, shown under the paragraph):
Integrated security
Access control can be planned with a video intercom, so visitors can be let in from a monitor or phone, and with security cameras covering the entry. A fob or keypad can also open an automatic gate. We work with brands including Hikvision, Dahua, Aiphone, Fermax, Golmar, DoorBird and Comelit.
How it works
We look at the doors, gates and power supply, and talk through who needs access and where.
We give you a fixed quote. For strata buildings, we work with the strata or building manager on approval.
We install the readers, keypads and locks, add the fobs, cards or codes, test every door and show you how to manage users.
Every system is quoted to suit the site. The price depends on how many doors or gates you want controlled, the type of reader (fob, card or keypad), the lock or strike each door needs, cabling and access, and how many fobs or cards you need. A keypad on one side gate costs far less than fob readers on every entry to a building.

We may be able to, depending on the system. We check it's compatible, that we can get admin access, and that the strata or building manager has approved the fob. We can't promise it can always be done.
We may be able to, once we've confirmed compatibility and admin access, and the strata or building manager has approved it.
On most systems, a lost fob or card can be removed so it no longer works, and a new one added.
