There's no call-out fee in Annandale, Dulwich Hill, Haberfield, Leichhardt, Petersham and St Peters during business hours. Everywhere else, there's no extra travel fee in business hours just because you're outside those suburbs, although jobs more than about 40 minutes away may have a travel or call-out fee, which we'll tell you about before booking. After-hours emergency call-outs are $250 + GST in every suburb, including those six.
We also work across the rest of the Inner West, including Ashfield, Marrickville, Newtown, Stanmore, Summer Hill and Tempe, and in Balmain, Rozelle and the other suburbs on our Serviced Areas page.
Inner West homes
From terraces to apartment blocks, some Inner West homes still run on wiring put in long before today's appliances. In the 2021 Census, about 42% of homes in the Inner West Council area were flats or apartments, 27% were semi-detached, terrace or townhouses and 29% were separate houses, and about 44% were rented.
That mix shapes the work. In terraces and bungalows that can mean older switchboards and fuses, too few power points and older wiring. In apartment buildings it's switchboards, intercoms and common areas. For rentals it's repairs, smoke alarms and safety switch testing.
