What's included
Every alarm system is planned around the property. Impulse Electrical Enterprise installs alarm systems for homes and businesses across Sydney, working with brands including Hikvision, Dahua, TP-Link and HiLook. The equipment depends on the system you choose and the property, and can include:
The alarm panel that runs the system, set up and tested when we install it.
Motion sensors and door and window sensors, placed to cover the entries and rooms that matter most.
Indoor and outdoor sirens that sound when the alarm is triggered.
Arm and disarm with a keypad, remote control or mobile app, with alerts sent to your phone on compatible systems.
Monitoring
We don't offer back-to-base monitoring. Our alarm systems are self-monitored: when the alarm is triggered, the siren sounds and, on compatible systems, an alert goes to your phone so you can check what's happening and decide what to do. There's no monitoring contract to sign.
If you'd rather have a monitoring company watch the alarm for you, that's a back-to-base service from a monitoring centre, whose operators need a Class 1E security licence in NSW. We don't provide that, and we'll say so when we quote.
Who we install for
Door and window sensors on the main entries, motion sensors in the living areas and a siren, set up so the home is covered when you're out or asleep, with phone alerts on compatible systems.
Door, window and motion sensors covering the entries, stock areas and back rooms, so the premises are covered after hours.
One installer
An alarm works well alongside security cameras and sensor lights: the lights deter, the alarm alerts you and the cameras show what happened. See all the security systems we install.
With compatible equipment, the alarm and cameras can sit in one app. A Hikvision AX PRO alarm can run in Hik-Connect alongside supported Hikvision cameras, and a Dahua AirShield alarm can run in DMSS alongside supported Dahua cameras. We check that any existing equipment is compatible before we install, and plan the whole entry at once.
Licensed for both
Alarm systems count as security equipment in NSW, so whoever installs yours needs a Class 2C security licence as well as any electrical licence, and the NSW Police confirms that applies to licensed electricians too. Our business holds NSW Master Security Licence 000110688; you can check it on the NSW register before you book.
If the alarm panel needs a new power point or circuit, that wiring is electrical work. We hold NSW Contractor Licence 389893C too, so you deal with one business for the alarm and the power.
Prices
Alarm systems are quoted after a site inspection, because the price depends on the size of the property, how many sensors you need and the system you choose. We recommend a system to suit and confirm a fixed price in a free quote before we start.

Only if they also hold a security licence. In NSW, installing alarm systems for clients needs a Class 2C security licence, even for licensed electricians. We hold both an electrical contractor licence and a Master Security Licence.
No. Our alarm systems are self-monitored, so alerts come to you on compatible systems rather than to a monitoring centre. Back-to-base monitoring is a separate service from a monitoring centre, whose operators need a Class 1E security licence in NSW.
